Some become embarrased and what may have been done, overwhelmed by shame, the finger gets pointed at others..that's lame! While trying to stay ahed and not fall behind, too many become deceivers, futhermore, in themselves failing to become believers! Nevertheless, our fragile world will continue spin, and people will continue to sin, deceptilvely passing passing blame...even to kin! The first stanza of the poem is the work of Juan Ramon Jimenez... Which I was supposed to continue. Anyways, What do you think? I am like a distracted child, Whom they drag by the hand, Thinking I don’t have my own mind, As they dumped me in a faraway land. As I wander aimlessly, I asked myself, Why didn’t they want me? Do they even love me? I wished I could make them happy, I hoped they would be proud of me, I prayed we could still be a family, It’s not my wish to be born like this! I did not ask God to take away my hands, For I long to touch your face, I did not ask God to not let me hear, For I want to listen as you speak. All I want is to know you, To be inspired by you, To take care of you, To make you proud! I do not feel anger, For I feel only pain, I do not feel sad, For I only feel loss. If only you understand my pain, For I understand I’ll only be your bane, I never knew I could be such a disdain, I’m sorry you bore me and had to suffer in pain. I do not think you’re selfish, For all you hope is that I’ll perish, But your memories I’ll always cherish, Even though you think I’m gore-ish. I know everyone likes fairy tales and decided to tell a story about domestic abuse through a simple poem! There was once a fairy, Who was always merry, Until she met somebody, A handsome prince name Cody. Despite her Queen’s advice, they decide to marry, Thus, it became a tragic love story, If the fairy marries one that’s not true, Her fate is sealed to die when the moon turns blue. For so long, her marriage felt so right, Even thought he sleeps in another’s bed every night, She still refused to see the light, She cries everyday waiting for her knight. Every night as she lies in her chamber, She thinks of the time they were together, The sweet promises he made to be faithful forever, She couldn’t help but remember. Ten months later a son she bore, But her heart was so sore, The prince didn’t want a baby, and even called her a whore!, Finally she couldn’t take it anymore. She never felt so much pain, When she tries to walk away, he made her stay again, Sweet promises made her think her prince she’ll regain, Now, she can only do her crying in the rain. He’ll come back to her, that’s what in her mind, All he needs is just some time, Then everyone will be happy and everything will be fine, Deep down she knows is a lie and yet for him her heart still pine. The only thing that disgust him brings her joy, She love no one more that he baby boy, Whom she spoils with nothing but toys, His safety she fears so she made a ploy. She knows her marriage will never last, And that she must move on from the past, For safety, her chambermaid says that the walls she must pass, Before the sand runs out of the hourglass. Unfortunately, the prince found out and while she ran, she fall, Before she could pass that wretched wall, She cried as help she call, Alas! Her baby was killed and she was left with nothing at all. She cried for all that was lost, If she only knew what his safety has caused, Her love for him has end, She realized it had ended before it even began. So, away from the palace she flew, As if God know the clue, Long before He knew he wasn’t true That night, the moon was full… and the moon was also blue. The book made me cry and I dedicate this poem to Marley and all the other dog lovers out there! He’s rambunctious and incorrigible, He’s a slob, playful and terrible, Would it be horrible, To tell you how much we love that animal? He digs up the garden, Destroys the hall, Never once he paused to wonder what would happen, Because he knows we love him, ticks, fleas and all. He eats and he sleeps all day, But what he love the most is running by the bay, Expensive restoration we have to pay, All because we love him so he got his way. He’s so huge and you should see him drool! Not to mention how he got kicked out of obedience school, Testing our patience until we lost our cool, Many times he played us for a fool! If you know him, you’ll think he’s cute, Wait till he send slobbers down your very best suit! He barks so loud, you’ll wish he’s mute, If you think he’s cute, you’ve been dupe. The Voice Of Despair Triangles of half-open doors Reveal all the truth that is hidden: Just condoms and cans on the floor, Black papers with verses, forbidden - Unfinished remakes of the song, Deprived of the right to speak loud Of wicked intentions gone wrong - Erasers have muffled the shout. The only illusion-proof mind - A poet, the voice of despair, Sincere, the one of this kind Throws verses far into the air Right there, in a dirty old flat Among once great talents, now rotten. They all have deserved more than that, But even their names are forgotten. 2. Nothing Else Counts The streets are embraced by this threatening night, She's sunk in his warm, not yet sober embrace. They promised each other that things would go right, Yet all their hopes stand for counting days. The morning will frown - one desperate kiss, The sign of unfortunate parting for two, Will cease their dwelling in ignorant bliss, Or blissful forgetting, whatever is true. The well-known words in a new undertone Of whispering voices are fading away. The morning will frown, and she will be gone; He'll vanish in sleep till around midday. They'll meet when the streets are embraced by the dark. With no place to go, to never be found, With lives half-forgotten, with nothing to mark. But they have each other, and nothing else counts. 3. Reflections At Four In The Morning All days are the same: morning, city, the crowd. Life's not going forward, it's moving around. And masks of all shades on those ignorant faces, A few made-up stories in cheap street newspapers, Sluts looking like stars, dirty queens of attraction, Gross idols of so deceptive perfection Are doors to the mind of the crowd, so hollow - They hear the call of the dumb and they follow. Now passion means lust, now freedom means violence, Stupidity prospers. It's due to your silence! The weak ones are searching for someone to blame, The helpless would trade for a minute of fame. A couple hearts broken don't cost a damned thing; The hopeless romantics would give anything - Despite having nothing - for love, non-existing. We've made up this concept, as something is missing. Believe it or not - I can cope alone! I never wished someone to call me their own. It's such a delusion that having you here Will help me get over this common old fear. What's frightening? Solitude? Fear itself! I hide beside you when I fear myself! But it is much better with you than the crowd That never goes forward, that keeps going round. 4. Heartless-can-be? I'm wild and sometimes even heartless-can-be, I'm fond of collecting illusions to ruin, I'm breaking the rules life has written for me, "Create to destroy" best describes what I'm doing. I'm scarily dangerous, silently loud - A walking disaster you'd better ignore, The pain in the neck of a desperate crowd. But I'm like a magnet - you'll only want more. You'll figure me out, you'll get to the core - One beauty, two fears, three dangers - it's me. You'll enter my heartspace and close the door For anyone else who I wanted to be. My truth was denying devotion and faith, And now you've proved right the opposite true. A chain of mistakes is the sign of my days; My strength will forgive me - it led me to you. 5. Every Single Evening's Plot I closed the door of my dirty old flat, I went outside for a short evening stroll. I bought some cheap hooch and a condom instead. I'd only arrived when I heard a phone call. It was so persistent, so deafening loud. Who failed to forget me? I wanted to know. I took a deep breath for a desperate shout, Picked up the receiver: "Hello! Hello?" Just silence. An error? Wrong number? Or what? A quick thought of you. Stupid me! Would you care? I started to feel all the spirits I'd bought Dissolve in my blood, neutralizing despair. In less than an hour my neighbours arrived And asked me for something they needed. Okay. I gave them a condom and bade them hot night - I wouldn't have sex for some number more days. I spent the next hour listening to moans, But envy and anger were still neutralized. I'd made through the day, and I'd done it alone. The neighbours calmed down. I closed my eyes. 6. A Desperate City Hello to you from the gray gloomy city, Where crowds unconsciously worship despair, Indulging in dangers of constant self-pity With naive belief in the world's being fair. They have no trust in a man's inner power, And fortitude sounds like something unknown. They have no poets, just ones of an hour, Who drown at once in the thoughts of their own. With greed they consume plain illusions for dinner, And dress them with lies when they serve the new dishes To those so-called "pathological sinners" Who find someone else's delusions delicious. They have Friday liter-mates rather than friends To mark that the week of no favor is ending, But even with glasses of spirits in hands They look worse than misery. Are they pretending? staggerlee on "Paper" http://moleskiners.com/forums/topic/paper#post-67 Tue, 20 Oct 2009 23:01:14 +0000 staggerlee 67@http://moleskiners.com/forums/ I have noticed that the cream colour in the large A3 sketch comes off with the slightest erasure...I've used the small and reg. ones for years now and never had that issue...is a minor annoyance but on some of the heavy worked pieces it is quite noticable...not sure if this is just a problem with one "batch" of them or is throughout the line...I suspect the paper was changed as I tried one of my old (3-4 years old) ones to see if it happened or would happen now but it did not. Remainders are books that have moved from retail to discount to deep discount to a wholesale liquidator. Remainder books are usually damaged in some way to make sure they cannot be resold as first quality. This damage is permanent like a notch through all pages or an indelible mark. It feels more flexible because the larger size has more flex than the smaller size. It's siimilar to a long piece of wood which bends more than a shorter piece of the same caliber. It felt kinda flimsier and thinner. But actually upon closer inspection, it appears to be the same weight and paper, and it's just that the much larger size makes it appear thinner. We're using proven apps and plugins and significant custom coding to enable the setup, where only members can access the content and only invited users can register at this time. 2. Integration of Wiki users with the other software isn't an option in the near future since the process will take a significant amount of time, considering that we're using separate software for the Wiki section. 3. Yes, it's likely that we'll have a mobile version for Moleskiners and, of course, that will mean considerable work because the site's dense (to use your word). It's not a deal breaker in most cases. 3) Is there any mobile version of this site is planned? Popups are the most unusual moleskine activity, in my opinion. Unusual and complicated and very much of a challenge. And a standout entry to a moleskine exchange. I'm thinking maybe you guys in the group can start such a project. That would be awesome! Flip book sounds good, too. Actually I did consider doing this in one of our moleskine exchanges but chickened out as it wasn't in my book. Then I thought of a pop-up but never felt I had time to do it justice - that and getting the idea and working out the mechanics! what about a flip book?! any ideas or examples for unusual moleskines?
